I love the colors in this one. It's like flying through a dream....The background, the shift of color from your check to your shoulder. Even just around your face the colors softly mutate in a magical way. It reminds me of something, like a dream where reality is trippy looking.
I was just reading your "Vital Statistics" journal, and I actually prefer this image from those you listed. I love the colours and the expression. It's a very Artistic piece, with a feeling of spontaneity.
Well photographed, and the tight crop adds to the expressive mood. Very lovely.
I admit - I like to photograph the female form, which has been celebrated for many many centuries using different media - from the crude cave drawings and revered fertility symbols of ancient civilisations to the famous works of Rubens, Bouguereau, and Da Vinci - to name but a few. I see it's still as controversial now as it was then.
What's wrong with that?
It may not be oil on canvas, or carved in alabaster but in this new age - art has a new form. Art has many forms - or arguably free form... but it remains art.
